Cardno ATC is a national engineering/consulting firm that specializes in environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, and construction materials testing and inspection services. Cardno ATC Albany, NY office is currently seeking a candidate to fill an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager. This position will focus on environnmental, health and safety services including hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead-paint, indoor air quality and site assessments.
Essential Job Functions: Management and oversight of assigned projects, scheduling, scopes of work, budget control, report development, deliverables and supervision of staff, sub-contractors and consultants. Perform field investigations, surveys, testing and assessments, abatement/remediation recommendations and design, specification writing, and contract administration; includes asbestos, hazardous materials, environmental site assessments, indoor air quality, microbial and industrial hygiene services. Responsible for client account management and client relations, including meetings, presentations and site visits. Responsible for business development activities consisting of proposal and bid preparation for assigned projects, clients and solicitations including cost estimates, statements of qualifications and presentations. Handle business administration to include preparation and tracking of project budgets, backlog projections, utilization reports, purchase orders, work in progress and monthly invoicing. Oversee technical aspects not limited to quality control/assurance for assigned staff, project activities, standard operating procedures and reports. Interaction with regulatory and government agencies be necessary.
Education/Training/Certifications: BS in Environmental or Health Sciences, Engineering, Geology or related field. EPA and State of NY accreditations (asbestos, lead paint) a must.
PE, CIH, or CHMM will be considered a plus. Valid driver’s license required as field work and site travel is involved; candidate will be responsible for transportation.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: 10-15 years experience preferred with a minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience. Documented experience consisting of hazardous materials, environmental assessments, regulatory compliance, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality and mold projects.
